What is Chrysocolla?

Chrysocolla is a gemstone composed of varying amounts of copper, aluminum, silica, and other trace elements. It ranges in color from light to dark blue-green with hints of brown and yellow. Chrysocolla is often found in its solid form as crystals and nodules but can also be found as a coating on other minerals such as quartz or malachite. Chrysocolla has been known since ancient times for its healing properties. It has been used to help reduce stress and anxiety, improve emotional balance, encourage communication and creativity, stimulate energy levels, cleanse the heart chakra, and enhance psychic abilities.
